Skill levels

On S2 trails, expect larger roots, rocks, steps, shallow stairs and tight turns. The steepness is up to 70% in places. Advanced riding techniques such as overcoming obstacles by weight shifting are required.

S3 trails are interspersed with larger boulders, roots, high steps, loose scree, difficult slopes, and generally difficult terrain. Gradients of over 70% are not uncommon. Demanding riding techniques such as rear wheel shifting, precise braking and good balance are a prerequisite.

Interesting spots/trails

The list of trails is almost endless at Saalbach Mountainbike. And should everything be "sent", it goes over the legendary root trail in the epic Bikepark Leogang.

Pro-Line at the Reiterkogelbahn

You should only enter the Pro-Line if you are experienced on a freeride bike. Because this is a race-tested freeride route with rocky sections, doubles, berms and drops.

Blue-Line at the Reiterkogelbahn

Freeride novices get their money's worth on the Blue Line. The trail is also suitable for warming up and offers many easy northshore elements, waves and tables. The flow is in the foreground.

Bergstadl trail at the Westgipfel cable car

The Bergstadl trail is fast, crisp and in places blocked and rooted. The trail is demanding, but scores in terms of trail experience and panorama.

Z-Line at the 12er Kogel runway

Varied and fast: This freeride route is really fun for experienced touring riders and freeriders. Waves, tables and smaller drops await you. A slow approach is possible by driving around the elements.

Panorama trail at the Kohlmaisbahn

Suitable for beginners and pro's: Depending on the pace, the trail becomes more difficult or easier. Wonderful view of Saalbach and Hinterglemm included.

Hacklberg Trail at the West Summit Lift

One of the most beautiful single trails is the Hacklberg Trail, which stretches from the west peak down to Hinterglemm. Pure flow at Saalbach Mountainbike.

Program

Which routes and trails are explored on a given day is adjusted daily to the group and the weather. But don't worry: you won't run out of Saalbach mountain bike trails. Each day is flexibly designed to achieve the best possible result in terms of riding technique and fun. Although we are mostly on the lifts, you should still bring the condition for about 600 meters of altitude.
