You want to really let off steam off the slopes and experience an incomparable Deep snow experience experience? Then the Tauplitz-Alm is the perfect place for you! In our exciting freeride camp we show not only Beginners the best techniques to get through the Powder snow to slide, but offer also experienced freeride cracks the ideal terrain to develop their skills.
With our experienced guides we explore in three days the impressive freeride spots around the Tauplitz-Alm, as well as the Planner and Riesneralm and reveal valuable insider tips.

As a beginner, you have never really been off-piste. Here you will be guided from the very beginning.
As an advanced skier you have already been in contact with powder snow, the "powder virus" has caught you and you want to expand your experience.
As an Expert, you'll draw lines in steep terrain with solid experience in snow and tour planning, and you'll want to explore new terrain as well as exciting descents.

Dieses gemütliche, familiär geführte Hotel mit Blick auf die Skipisten und direkt an der Talstation der Tauplitzbahn gelegen, ist der ideale Ausgangspunkt für dein Freeride-Camp. Den Tag ausklingen lassen kann man abends gemütlich in der Hotelbar oder in der Sauna. Gerne buchen wir dir dein Zimmer.

Equipment
Prerequisite for a great powder experience is the right equipment, especially the right freeride skis or the ideal freeride snowboard (for our routes, however, only a splitboard is suitable). Since you are in high alpine terrain, your equipment should be up to date and well maintained. If your equipment is outdated or defective, we can organize rental equipment for you. Please just give us before your adventure Let me know what you need.

The Tauplitzalm is a picturesque high plateau in Styria, which becomes a true winter paradise in winter. With over 17 kilometers of groomed slopes and countless freeride opportunities, the ski area offers the best conditions for skiers and snowboarders of all levels.
Travel options
Arrival is on your own or by train. We recommend arriving one day in advance, as the freeride camp starts relatively early, depending on the weather conditions. You can get more detailed information from us at RETTER Sports. Gernot will be happy to advise you on this!

Program
As freeriders, we are of course always dependent on the rapidly changing whims of the alpine winter weather. Your guides at the camp prepare carefully, study weather maps and inquire about the snow situation and danger. However, unforeseen weather whims may force us to revise our plans. In this case, our on-site team will immediately put together a replacement program that will meet your expectations for a sporty weekend.
This is what your freeriding adventure on Tauplitz could look like.
If the snow conditions on the Tauplitz are not optimal, we will alternatively go to the Planneralm dodge.
Day 1:
Arrival at the hotel, check in from 15.00
2nd day:
Mountain ride with the lift, then skiing and exploring the freeride area on the Tauplitzalm. Lunch together in a ski lodge, departure to accommodation, dinner together.
Day 3:
Off into the powder: Day 3 is all about freeriding on the Tauplitz-Alm in different terrain and terrain. We are divided into groups according to difficulty, so that everyone has their ideal off-piste experience.

Day 4
Check out from the hotel. Afterwards freeriding on the Planneralm or Riesneralm (alternatively at the Tauplitz-Alm) and explore the most beautiful spots. After a joint lunch return of the equipment and subsequent journey home.
Tips & Info
Around the Tauplitzalm we offer you as a freerider the most beautiful slopes off-piste. The focus is on deepening and improving your deep snow skills and our local guides will help you find the best spots. FYI: If you want to ride your splitboard, it would be ideal if you already have some experience with your board. And if you can't get enough of powder - by the way we also offer a Freeride Camp in St. Anton am Arlberg and in Saalbach-Hinterglemm an. This is intended for advanced and expert users.
