Culture & Free time
In view of the numerous crises and negative events Armenia has already experienced, one could almost forget that this country at the crossroads between the Asian and European continents has a great history and an important cultural heritage despite all the tragedies. Armenia is also called the land of monasteries and churches - three UNESCO World Heritage Sites are located in the small country, which is half the size of Austria.
Armenia is also a true paradise for outdoor sports enthusiasts and still an insider tip. Because Armenia captivates not only by its beautiful nature - but also by lonely hiking trails. Although tourism in Armenia has been growing steadily in recent years, it can still happen that after a day of hiking you are the only tourist sitting in an inn full of locals in the evening.
