The No. 1 windsurfing spot on Rhodes!
The South of Rhodes holds a very special place that attracts surfers from all over the world: Prasonisi. This peninsula is connected to the main island by a narrow sandbank and delights surfers with its unique conditions.
On the east side of the spot there are perfect "laboratory conditions" for surfers. Here the winds from north and south meet and provide a constant breeze. This is further enhanced by the so-called Meltemi, a northerly wind that blows between May and September and provides even better conditions. On this side of the spot surfers will find perfect conditions for their tricks and maneuvers.
But only a few meters away on the west side of the spot, Prasonisi shows a completely different side: Here, boisterous conditions prevail and the waves can get very high. This side of the spot is not suitable for beginners, but experienced surfers will get their money's worth here and can let off steam in the high waves.

A stay at Light House Hotel in Rhodes will be remembered by every guest. Located directly on the beach, this hotel offers an incomparable view of the sea and the beach. The Greek architecture and the hotel built in 1997 give the Light House its unique character.
Room types
The rooms of Light House Hotel offer everything you need for a pleasant stay. The rooms are clean and comfortably furnished and have a shower/WC, air conditioning and a refrigerator. All rooms have a balcony or terrace from which you can enjoy the view of the sea.
The around 20 m² studios have shower/WC, air conditioning, flyscreen, TV and kitchenette with refrigerator. All studios have a balcony and are quietly located.

In addition to the comfortable rooms, Light House Hotel also offers numerous amenities. The in-house restaurant serves delicious Greek dishes and offers guests a place to end the day in a relaxed atmosphere.
Equipment
The Pro Center is located on the flatwater side of the spot and offers only Pro Edition and Full Wood Sandwich boards (except beginner and young gun boards). All rigs (except in the beginner area) are equipped with X6 carbon masts and X6 forks to guarantee a perfect surfing experience.
Attention: For kiters with their own equipment, rescue is not included.

To best prepare for your windsurfing vacation, you should follow these steps:
- Windsurfing requires a certain level of physical fitness. Make sure you are in good physical condition before you hit the water.
- Windsurfing often takes place under direct sunlight. Therefore, use adequate sunscreen and wear sunglasses to protect your eyes from UV rays.
- Make sure you have a valid Travel cancellation insurance which covers you in case of cancellation, but also accidents or illnesses abroad. Bookable of course also at RETTER Sports!
