The surf station Rene Egli on Fuerteventura wurde 1984 gegründet und befindet sich an der Playa Sotavento. Here is a lagoon over 4 km long - one of the top windsurfing and kitesurfing spots in Europe, but also great for practicing your first surfing skills.
The south of Fuerteventura offers unique wind and kite surfing conditions at the unspoiled coast of Sotavento. Due to a natural nozzle, the mostly offshore trade wind is additionally strengthened here. Strong wind, medium waves and flat water create ideal conditions for freestylers, speed freaks and kiters. But also surf beginners have here optimal conditions to learn surfing.

As a beginner you've never surfed before or maybe you've only had a taster course. Here you will be brought on the board from the beginning.
You can already call yourself advanced if you already have solid basic knowledge.
As an Expert you feel comfortable at all spots and can handle difficult conditions very well.

Fuerteventura can be reached by plane non-stop from Vienna in about 5 hours. From there RETTER Sports can organize a transfer (about 1 hour) to the hotel or you can book a rental car through us and explore the island flexibly. The island is more brown than green, but here and there you can see some nice green spots.

Program
Fuerteventura is not only a unique place to surf, but also to ride exciting mountain bike tours. You will definitely not get bored on this trip.
Surf Sessions
The registration for a surf course is filled out at the check-in before the course starts at the Center Rene Egli. Depending on the course and location, this registration procedure takes place individually.
Normally, the surf instructor looks for the appropriate wetsuit and surfing materials together with the surf students. In the meantime, the student receives the information about the spot and the guides on site check the student's current windsurfing / kitesurfing skills to make sure they have booked the right course for them.
All kite, windsurf and wingsurf instructors have international licenses to offer you the best courses and safety. Rene Egli offers courses (from 15 years and min. 50kg) for all skill levels - on request also as an effective private course.
Through intensive training, the on-site coaches ensure optimal progress in any desired group size. The surf courses can be offered in English, German, Spanish, Italian or Greek.
Other possible sports
In Fuerteventura you can enjoy other sports besides surfing courses. So you will never be bored during your vacation. You can enjoy the following sports in between:

In the nature reserve Parque Natural de Corralejo you can discover a breathtaking desert landscape. The viewpoint "Mirador astronómico de Sicasumbre" is breathtaking - here you stand on only 691m height. The landscape around you, resembles a hilly carpet.

At the surf station Rene Egli you can borrow everything your surfer heart desires. Starting from the surf suit, shoes, helmet, life jacket to the complete equipment for kiters: kite / bar / board or of course for windsurfers a JP board / sail / harness.

Nevertheless, it would be good if you take bathing utensils, sunscreen, etc. yourself.

This place hosts the famous PWA World Tour Fuerteventura Windsurf and Kitesurf WA World Cup every year. The most consistent winds are felt in the summer months.
Matas Bay is known as the mega flat water spot on Fuerteventura. Especially for beginners in kite- or windsurfing the perfect training spot.

Tips & Info
We know Spaniards as a very sociable and party-loving people, also on Fuerteventura there are therefore always fiestas or events that are celebrated with lots of dancing and live music until the wee hours of the morning. Culturally, however, there is also a lot to see if you are interested in churches, museums or the typical craftsmanship of the country.
The main season for surfers in Fuerteventura is between May and September - this is also when there are the most windy days.
This is a dry canyon that is well worth seeing. Small sections are somewhat reminiscent of Antelope Canyon, which is located on the northern border of Arizona.
From the top you have a great view over Corralejo. You can also use this little trip to get to know the city a little or just stroll through the streets of Corralejo.
