The windsurfing, kitesurfing and wingfoil center Fun2Fun is located on the outskirts of Marmari village on the north side of Kos island. Fun2Fun offers a wide range of surfing courses. The area is spacious and the team is very professional. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced surfer, everyone is welcome to spend time on the water or just relax on the sun lounger after a surf session. The spot on site is divided into two zones, one for kitesurfing and one for windsurfing. This makes starting and ending surf sessions more relaxed and safe. More experienced surfers can stay outside the training zones after launching and benefit from the improved conditions in the deeper, dark blue water.
Material: Gaastra sails and tabou boards.
Horizon Surfing Center is located directly at Horizon Beach Resort (MASTICHARI) on the northwest coast of Kos, where beginners and advanced kitesurfers and windsurfers will find ideal conditions to improve their skills and enjoy the spot! The wind at our spot usually blows sideways along the shore in the morning in the direction of the Meltemi and then often shifts in the afternoon and blows stronger from the west.

Insider tips
The special thing about surfing on Kos is that two islands to the north create a jet effect that gives the island the strongest north wind in the region. The Meltemi, a northerly wind, blows on Kos from the end of May until the end of September. On good days, the wind reaches 4-5 Bft. in the morning before strengthening in the late afternoon, often reaching 8 Bft. by sunset. Stronger meltemi can produce waves of up to 1.5 meters. The wind blows diagonally onshore, creating an easily negotiated shoreline slope. The low current allows surfers to reach the shore drifting even if they have problems.
