Join us for a guided MTB tour through the stunning and unique Soča Valley in Slovenia. Over the course of 4 days, we’ll explore the best single trails in the Valley of Waterfalls and the turquoise Soča River. Our specially designed route promises action-packed days on the trails, historical discoveries, and delicious local cuisine, all guided by a local bike expert who knows the best routes.

Skill levels

The individual cycling stages are alternately flat and hilly with longer climbs. The route length is about 50-60 kilometers per day. Good endurance is a must for these bike tours. You can expect well-maintained asphalt bike paths as well as uneven and stony roads.

For the guided MTB tour through the Soča Valley, you can rent an MTB or E-MTB—please let us know your preference when booking! Alternatively, check if your own bike is well-maintained. Also, make sure to bring protective gear (helmet, gloves, knee pads, sunglasses) for the tour.

Are you ready for an unforgettable adventure? This guided MTB tour is all about thrilling single trails, stunning views, and culinary delights in the beautiful Soča Valley. Here’s a brief overview of our program—please note it may vary slightly depending on the weather.

 

Day 1

Upon your arrival at the accommodation, you'll meet our experienced guides, and we'll prepare the bikes for the upcoming week.

Day 2

On our first day of biking, we'll start at the Trail Center Robidišče and visit our Italian neighbors in Taipana. We'll be shuttled throughout the day, exploring as many trails as possible. No strenuous pedaling required—our van will fully support us.

In the evening, we'll also visit a local brewery, where we'll sample a variety of different beers.

uphill: approx. 0 meters / downhill: approx. 1000 - 3000 meters

Day 3

After breakfast, we'll take a minibus to the former Slovenian-Italian border, halfway to today's summit. Our ascent will follow an old military road with a perfectly graded incline. After enjoying the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, we'll descend on the Repetitor Trail into the village of Breginj.

After lunch, we'll head to the Kolovrat Ridge, where we'll first visit the outdoor museum dedicated to World War I. Here, an Italian defensive position has been meticulously recreated. After a brief history lesson, we'll enjoy a thrilling descent down to the Soča River. The minibus will pick us up and take us back to Kobarid.

Day 4

The longest route of the week starts at the border with Italy at an elevation of 1,642 meters and ends in front of the best ice cream parlor in the area at an elevation of 150 meters. After a well-deserved portion of gelato and a coffee, we'll bring you back up with the van for another breathtaking descent into Kobarid.
