Abu Soma is located about 48 kilometers south of Hurghada. The sandbank is highlighted by its turquoise water. Windsurfing and kiting is possible all year round due to the wind and warm temperatures. You are a beginner? No problem. Our partner Surfmotion will find the perfect equipment for beginners and professionals, the most ideal spot and also offers courses in English and German. After surfing you can go sightseeing or have fun with many other leisure activities like mini golf, beach volleyball and table tennis.

You will be in the Palm Royal accommodated. The Sentido Palm Royal is an elegant, comfortable complex with a total of 445 accommodation units. Reception hall, free Wi-Fi, main restaurant with outdoor terrace, à-la-carte restaurants (Arabic, Italian, Greek), bars, stores, lifts are just some of the amenities. In addition, a swimming pool with sun terrace and pool bar await you in the spacious outdoor area. Sunbeds, towels and umbrellas are included at the pool and beach. You can choose between half board or all-inclusive.

The Palm Royal offers a main restaurant and several à-la-carte restaurants with Arabic, Italian or Greek cuisine. You can choose between half board and all-inclusive.
Equipment
You can either bring your own equipment or let our partner Surfmotion provides you with the appropriate equipment for windsurfing or kitesurfing. On site there are some places to store your own kite and surf equipment. There are also separate areas for larger groups and events.

The Abu Soma peninsula in Egypt is a paradise for windsurfing and kitesurfing with its turquoise waters, warm temperatures and sufficient wind.
Interesting spots/trails
The sandbank on Abu Soma in Egypt is highlighted by its turquoise waters, from where you can jump directly onto your boards.
The entire spot is relatively large, so it has been divided into two areas (beginner, teaching area and the freeride area). Further subdivisions are of course also for kitesurfers and windsurfers, so that the risk of accidents is kept to a minimum.
Travel options
From Austria/Germany you fly only about 4 hours to Hurghada. Abu Soma is located about 48 km south of Hurghada, on one of the most beautiful shallow water areas we know and love. Gernot will be happy to advise you!

Program
When you arrive, the first thing to do is to fill in the registration form in the office. For guests who do not know the area, a briefing will be held.
The groups for the courses are already arranged in advance - therefore it is also very important to get a lot of information from you in advance, so that everything can be handled quickly and well on site and everyone gets on the board.
However, if for various reasons the group does not fit (weight, level, etc.), you can of course change the group.
For the kite courses there is a maximum of 2 students per instructor, for the windsurf courses there can be 4-5 students.

Out of the water:

The best time for wind and kite surfers is from March to November.
Nudist bathing can lead to a heavy fine or even imprisonment. Therefore, use the spa area in the hotel.
