This trip combines adventure, relaxation, and a good dose of culture: from the rock fortress of Sigiriya to the tea plantations in the highlands, and the waves of Mirissa, you’ll experience a colorful mix of nature, history, and plenty of surf vibes. Whether you’re standing on a surfboard for the first time or just craving a diverse getaway, the island will show you its most beautiful sides: tropical coasts, lush greenery inland, and warm encounters with Sri Lankan culture.

Program
We’ve planned an exciting mix of nature, culture, and surf vibes for your stay in Sri Lanka. Here’s a brief overview of what awaits you:
Day 1 – Arrival & Welcome in Dambulla
Meet your personal tour representative at Bandaranaike International Airport. Transfer to Dambulla, where you’ll spend your first night surrounded by lush nature.
Day 2 – Royal History & Natural Wonders
Sigiriya Rock Fortress: Hike to the legendary “Lion Fortress” and enjoy panoramic views over the jungle and lakes.
Dinner & overnight stay at a charming resort in Dambulla.
Day 3 – Spices, Culture & Kandy
Spice Gardens in Matale: Smell, taste, and discover Sri Lanka’s famous spices.
Kandy: Explore the last royal city with visits to a gem museum, batik art, and the magnificent Temple of the Sacred Tooth.
Day 4 – Off to "Little England": Nuwara Eliya
Scenic drive through fragrant tea plantations, including a tasting session.
Overnight stay in the cool and peaceful mountain town, surrounded by waterfalls and green hills.
Days 5–10 – Sun, Beach & Surf in Mirissa
Six days of tropical relaxation along palm-lined beaches.
Enjoy 4 surf lessons for beginners — perfect for catching your first waves in the Indian Ocean!
Day 11 – Farewell, Island Life
Transfer to the airport, bringing home a heart full of unforgettable memories.
Accommodation& Catering
During your journey through Sri Lanka, you’ll stay in carefully selected hotels that combine comfort with authentic charm — from lush green retreats inland to relaxed beachfront locations.
In Dambulla, you’ll stay surrounded by tropical nature, for example at the Sigiriana Resort or Amaya Lake. In Kandy, cozy hotels with views of the surrounding hills await you, such as Amaya Hills or Thilanka Hotel. In Nuwara Eliya, you’ll experience colonial charm — for instance at Araliya Green Hills. And in Mirissa, the sea is just a few steps away, with accommodations like the Mandara Resort.

Colombo’s international airport (Bandaranaike International Airport) is easily accessible from Austria — typically with a stopover in Doha, Dubai, or Istanbul. The total flight time is approximately 11–12 hours.

Sri Lanka is generally a year-round travel destination. However, the best time to visit the island is between November and March, when the weather is most favorable in the southern and western regions.
