Accommodation& Catering
At the Family Surf Camp, you’ll be staying in tents – but you won’t have to sacrifice comfort. Equipped with wooden floors, cozy double beds, lighting, and electricity, your stay will be as comfortable as it is adventurous.
4-Person Tent: Includes one double bed and a bunk bed for the kids (the top bunk is ideal for children aged 6 and up and under 40 kg).
2-Person Tent: Equipped with two single beds that can be pushed together if desired.

Of course, your physical well-being is also taken care of at the Family Surf Camp – because one thing's for sure: days spent by the water work up an appetite!
At the breakfast buffet in the morning, there’s something for everyone – whether it’s fresh baguette, fruit, or muesli, you can fuel up for the day ahead. You can also prepare your own lunch package for the afternoon – perfect for a day at the beach.
In the evenings, you can look forward to a delicious warm dinner on five days a week, including a seasonal salad, main course, and dessert. The highlight: a shared BBQ dinner under the open sky.
Equipment
The camp of course provides all the necessary equipment (boards and wetsuits). Beginners can use the equipment starting on the third day of the course, depending on weather and wave conditions. Intermediate and advanced surfers may begin surfing on their own from the very first day of the course, again depending on weather and wave conditions.
Those who are intermediate or advanced and have not booked a course can rent equipment for a fee. Please note: children and teenagers under the age of 18 are not permitted to use the equipment outside of course times.

Montalivet is located on the French Atlantic coast in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region and is a true paradise for nature lovers, active vacationers, and those who enjoy the good life. The town combines endless sandy beaches, a relaxed lifestyle, and a wide range of leisure activities – perfect for anyone who loves the sun, the sea, and the French way of life.

Right on the Atlantic coast and just a stone’s throw from Bordeaux, Montalivet welcomes you with endless sandy beaches, wild nature, and a laid-back vibe. Surrounded by fragrant pine forests, this cool coastal town is the perfect spot for families looking to experience action, relaxation, and true beach vibes.
Travel options
Arrival is possible by car, train, or plane (Bordeaux Airport – flights bookable through Retter Sports). The nearest train station is Lesparre-Médoc, from where a transfer (€50 per person) will take you to the camp. For a relaxed holiday at our family camp in Montalivet, we recommend traveling by car. This way, you stay flexible on-site and can easily visit the town center, nearby lakes, or explore the many excursion opportunities in the area. Parking is also available at the camp. Check-in and check-out days at the surf camp are Saturdays.

Surfing, fun, and family time — boredom is definitely not on the agenda here! Even beyond the waves, there’s plenty to discover and do in Montalivet: Whether it’s yoga, bike tours, a trip to the nearby Lac d’Hourtin, or a stroll through the lively Marché de Monta. The surrounding wine regions invite you to explore, while the charming town center is just a 15-minute walk away. There, you’ll find numerous restaurants and a daily market. The region is full of highlights just waiting to be explored!
