As a beginner you've never surfed before or maybe you've only had a taster course. Here you will be brought on the board from the beginning.
You can already call yourself advanced if you already have solid basic knowledge.
As an Expert you feel comfortable at all spots and can handle difficult conditions very well.

During the kitesurfing week we put a lot of emphasis on practice. You can spend the whole day on the water working on your kite skills as long as you have energy and no fear of sunstroke.

The resort offers luxurious apartments with private garden and pool for common evenings and is only 150 meters away from the kitesurfing beach.
In the morning you can jump directly into the pool from the terrace or start the day with a sun prayer on the beach nearby.

Lefkada is located west of the Greek mainland and north of the island of Kefalonia in the Ionian Sea and an absolute outdoor paradise.
Interesting spots/trails
The island has some of the best beaches for kitesurfing in Europe, such as Vasiliki Bay and Vassiliki Beach, which offer strong thermal breezes and shallow waters ideal for beginners and advanced surfers.
The best time for kitesurfing on Lefkada is from May to October, when the wind conditions are at their best.
The Greeks used to build windmills here because the wind blows particularly reliably. You can always ride a smaller kite size than in other places. Underwater you can occasionally see turtles and the small wave supports higher jumps.

Program
The wind starts daily at 12 noon and gets stronger during the day, so you usually start with a 15-square-meter kite and a foil and later switch to a 12 and 9. The "Magic-Golden-Hour" at sunset offers gentle winds for unforgettable kite sessions. The main kitespot is located only 150 meters from the villa.
Tips & Info
To best prepare for your kitesurfing vacation, you should follow these steps:
- Kitesurfing requires a certain level of physical fitness. Make sure you are in good physical condition before you hit the water.
- Kitesurfing often takes place under direct sunlight. Therefore, use adequate sunscreen and wear sunglasses to protect your eyes from the UV rays.
- Make sure you have a valid Travel cancellation insurance which covers you in case of cancellation, but also accidents or illnesses abroad. Bookable of course also at RETTER Sports!
