The Kite and windsurf hotel offers you rooms for every budget, many leisure facilities, traditional food and fresh delicacies, a beautiful swimming pool with sun loungers and hammocks. A special highlight is the hotel's own Ayurveda center, which offers classic massage treatments as well as special massages for windsurfers.

The Kalpitya lagoon is the largest and most famous lagoon in Sri Lanka. Due to the ideal water and wind conditions, Kalpitiya has become a hotspot for kite and windsurfers in recent years. But not only the water and wind conditions distinguish this island as an exciting vacation destination. Beautiful landscapes, wild animals and also numerous cultural influences make the surf vacation in Sri Lanka a unique experience.

As mentioned above, Kalpitiya is considered one of the most best windsurfing and kitesurfing destinations in Sri Lanka. You don't feel like cold winter, snow and Christmas stress in Austria or Germany? Then use the time for a surf vacation in December. With temperatures around 30 degrees, the winter season in Kalpitiya is perfect to revive the summer and go kitesurfing in winter.
In the summer months, a day trip to remote Paradise Island/Vella Island is also very popular. There you will find constant wind and calm water. The boat trip takes about an hour and is definitely worth the trip!
