Hikers and culinary fans already know the region, mountain bikers are still seen rather rarely, but this does not make the region any less interesting. Because the Caucasus awaits with sandy, dry and stony enduro trails that usually snake along a mountain ridge forever. Skill levels
On S2 trails, expect larger roots, rocks, steps, shallow stairs and tight turns. The steepness is up to 70% in places. Advanced riding techniques such as overcoming obstacles by weight shifting are required.

Accommodation& Catering
Upon arrival in the Old Town of Tbilisi, you will check into your rooms at the 3* hotel near the Old Town. This is a ideal starting pointto explore the beautiful city center. Breakfast at the hotel is plentiful and very good. In the hinterland - both in Telavi, and in Tuscheti Park welcome us simple and rustic but very cozy guesthouses. The meals served are always delicious and sumptuous. Especially for the delicious stews and the preparation of sheep meat Georgia is known.
Catering
At Tbilisi hotel a delicious breakfast and lunch awaits you. In the Pension in Telavi half board is included. During the 4 nights in the guest houses along the way you will be spoiled with full board and so also well strengthened for your Georgia mountain bike adventure. By the way: On the way you will always meet the local people, who will always give you a warm welcome. It can happen that you are invited by a shepherd on the mountain for a meal or for a schnapps in the distillery. Cheers!
Equipment
The most important equipment for MTB tour Georgia is of course a fully serviced and fully functional mountain bike with at least 140 mm of suspension travel. Safety equipment such as helmet, gloves, sunglasses and knee pads are mandatory. Absolutely enough spare parts, especially spare tires, bring with you, because only in Tbilisi there is a possibility to buy spare parts.
On site there is a chance to book a rental bike from Scott and Specialized. However, it is recommended to bring your own bike for your Georgia mountain bike trip. We will be happy to help you plan your transportation.

Tbilisi (Tbilisi) can be reached directly from Vienna or Munich from the airport.
Due to the current security situation in Ukraine, but also the short connecting times for stopovers in Turkey, we do not recommend flying via these two countries.

Program
Your Georgia mountain bike trip is full of adventure and new, unique impressions. Our program will take us to the loneliest mountains, the most beautiful trails and the most unique spots in the hinterland of Tbilisi. So get ready for your 8 days MTB tour Georgia!!!
Program changes can be made depending on the group/weather.
Day 1
Arrival in Tbilisi and airport transfer to the hotel in the Old Town of Tbilisi. Dinner together in the city with all participants and the guides.
Day 2
Bike tours incl. shuttle services around Tbilisi. Lunch and late afternoon drive to Telavi to the guest house - arrival around 8pm and dinner together.
Day 3
Ascent to Abano Pass at almost 3,000 m and descent along the wild and rough mountain road to the ranger station in the valley. Subsequent 900 m bike & hike climb (carry/push) to a lake with breathtaking descent and arrival at the guesthouse in Omalo. Common, typical regional dinner.
Day 4
Lonely bike tours with pushing/carrying passages around Dartlo and Shenako. We cross a mountain pass and ride along the ridge through several small, rustic Tuscheti villages to the guesthouse for the next three nights. This is how a Georgia mountain bike vacation must be!
Day 5/6
Summit experiences at over 3,000 m and spectacular descent with numerous hairpin bends to Dartlo. One of the days can also be used as a rest day. Cooling in the river, campfire or a short hike are also possible here.
Day 7
Ascent back by shuttle to Abano pass and descent over the spectacular mountain road to the lowlands. Return to hotel in Tbilisi and final dinner together in the city.
Day 8
Departure. Airport transfer from the hotel to the airport.
