Location
Alvdal is a small municipality in the north of the Osterdaken region. The place is quiet and tranquil, surrounded by beautiful nature. The name "Alvdal" comes from "elv" for river and "dal" for valley. The mountains and the rather flat terrain is divided by the river "Glâma". The highest mountain is "Tron" in the northeast, which reaches a height of 1665 meters.

To the highest mountain near Alvdal - Tron - the highest mountain road in Norway leads to the top. This mountain road can be perfectly used to get to the starting point for numerous mountain bike trails. In the region, a network of single trails awaits us, which often lead over 800 meters in altitude down into the valley. The descents are ideally made for biking: Sufficiently steep for brilliant downhills, but not too steep to climb the mountain with your own muscle power and without carrying passages.
